Process Post: Still Life #1

For the first week I started doing this project, I struggled to prime my canvas as I did not have the strength to staple the material to the canvas wood. I then tried to find the right composition. This took me a while as a sorted through objects with different shapes and colors.

Here were my composition ideas:

Then, I went in with charcoal for my sketch; see below. My sketch took a decent amount of time because I tried to perfect (the best I could) the perspective and shapes of the objects.
