Process Post: Project #8

At the end of the year I become stressed and anxious, so my inspiration for this new piece is in the moment. I wanted to try working in gauche and watercolor again, and so I started off the piece with a light wash of blues and cool colors. I want an emphasis on shadows, so I lay out where deep darks are going to go.

I will start painting more opaque and adding some contrasting colors, like reds, in certain areas. I will also start adding detail and will incorporate some small black ink linework.
