Process Post for Class Project #5

When I did this project, I experienced a lot of difficulty in securing the right perspective, especially as I was not using a direct reference. I started with a sketch in graphite, and added paper to the sides of the paper to draw where the the vanishing point of each object would be. This was to help me draw the right perspective, especially for the sink and the shower. I eventually finalized the perspective and continued to outlining and rendering the individual pieces in charcoal. I continuously made sure I had decent value diversity throughout the drawing, which is also why I ended up adding white charcoal later on.

I had to cut the top of the paper, as I had trouble filling up the space above.

Despite the issues regarding the perspective, I really enjoyed working with the value in charcoal!
