For my next home project, I wanted to incorporate larger characters into a city scene. I started with a graphite sketch and then started doing light line work with the two characters on the left. Once I felt they looked okay I started doing linework with black ink again for the city scape, working left to right. When I was done with using my brush, I went in with a brush pen for finer detail and a rougher edge. At the end, I made final touches at the bottom and to add some depth with the environment, and I did a slight ink wash over some areas to also give depth and value.
For project number 7, I wanted to try acrylic again. I thought of doing a contrasting scene to my other acrylic painting, named "Red." I worked on a board this time, as I struggled with the canvas. I started by painting with blues for the closer object and oranges for industrial objects in the far distance. Working with texture seemed interesting, so I mixed blue with a thickening medium and applied it to the board to create a wavey texture for the water. I constantly reapplied paint to areas when creating this piece.
The finished artworks of the works are on the Home Page.
