Art 5 Summer Project Process Post #1

This summer I was stuck on what theme my art work should invoke, as I want to experiment with something serious like childhood memories and something more playful like random fears. I decided to go with the current season and atmosphere I was surrounded by, being summer.

With the summer season in bloom, bugs and pests are every where, alongside the miserable heat that makes any day more uncomfortable than it should be. I have to slather on sunscreen and wear a head covering because of the sun and my fragile skin.

I know that I want to work with watercolor and gouache on a decently sized sheet of watercolor paper.

I want to work with a warm-ish color scheme to match the theme. You can see me planning out the color scheme on a digital art platform in the 3rd picture shown below! I like planning out colors on digital because I think that it is easier.
